In 1994 Opinel commemorated the 50th anniversary of the D-Day and the Normandy landings with this special edition. It came in two versions: a french and a british/american one, the difference being in the inscription on the blade: D.Day 50th anniversary in english and 50ème anniversaire du débarquement in french. As you can see, mine is the british/american variant. The two versions were released in 33900 numbered pieces, the handle is made of palisander. (The second picture seems to be photoshopped, but it is not, the background is the glossy cover of a book.)
En 1994 Opinel a fêté le 50ème anniversaire du débarquement en Normandie avec cette série spéciale. Elle existe en deux versions: une française et une britannique/américaine, la différence étant dans l'inscription sur la lame: D.Day 50th anniversary en anglais et 50ème anniversaire du débarquement en français. Comme vous pouvez le constater, le mien est le modèle britannique/américain. Les deux modèles étaient produits à 33900 exemplaires numérotés, le bois est du palissandre. (La deuxième photo semble d'être photoshoppée mais elle ne l'est pas, le fond est la couverture brillante d'un livre.)
1994-ben az Opinel ezzel a különleges sorozattal ünnepelte a normandiai partraszállás ötvenedik évfordulóját. Két különböző – francia és brit/amerikai – változatban jött ki, a különbség a penge feliratában van: az angolon D.Day 50th anniversary, a francián 50ème anniversaire du débarquement olvasható. Mint látjátok, az enyém a brit/amerikai változat. A kettőt együtt 33900 számozott példányban adták ki, a markolat fája paliszander. (A második kép olyan, mintha photoshopolva lenne, pedig nem, a háttér egy könyv fényes címlapja.)
